Sending a Trip Manifest to Driver(s)
Pegasys' trip manifest gets your dispatch information to your driver's hands with the ability for them to update arrived/departed times and upload POD's without the need of a dispatcher. 1. You can take a dispatch first approach in Pegasys by creating a blank dispatch and then adding your shipments to it. However, most customers will dispatch their shipments to an existing or new dispatch. From the Dispatch page Click Dispatches on the top navigation bar to get to the Dispatch page. Adding stops to a dispatch record can help guide your driver, give you the ability to dictate detours or set your trip up for an exchange/drop. Open the dispatch record that you would like to add an additional stop to. Scroll down to the Dispatch Stops list. Click Add Stop. Once a dispatch has been created then the details moving forward can be controlled by the entire form. You can add dispatch stops, shipments, bills, notes, attachments and modify your route plan. You may want to delete a trip/dispatch if you want to start from scratch, the trip is no longer valid or if you are wanting to change the detail. From the dispatch page Open the dispatch record that you want to delete. Click More. Click Delete. Delete will delete the dispatch but preserve all of the related bills that are tied to this trip. Pegasys allows you to view the directions for a trip. This is efficient so you have all the information needed for your dispatch in one place. Dropping/Splitting dispatches can come in handy when you wanting another driver, tractor or trailer to take it the rest of the way. Open the dispatch that you would like to split. There may be a case where you need to create a dispatch with a custom dispatch number or change an existing number. You can only do this with an existing dispatch record. Pegasys is setup to warn users on expired insurance by default, but you may want to completely block dispatch or trigger when there is no insurance available on the carrier/vendor records.
