Creating equipment

Equipment records are used to create Tractors and Trailers within Pegasys. This module is used by companies that have their own assets or are required to keep track of third party equipment. There are many ways to enter equipment in Pegasys throughout the application to keep you in flow.

From the Equipment page
Click on Equipment on the top navigation bar to get to the Equipment page.
Click on the Create button in the top right corner.
Select Customer at the top of the form.
Fill in the equipment form.
Click Create.

From the top navigation bar
Click the + button on the top navigation bar from anywhere within the application.
Select Equipment at the top of the form.
Fill in the equipment form.
Click Create.

From an Equipment dropdown
Equipment dropdowns appear throughout the application. For example, when you are adding a tractor or trailer to a Dispatch record. You can quickly create equipment on the fly without breaking your flow.

Click the + button beside the equipment dropdown.
Fill in the equipment form.
Click Create.
You will be returned to your form with the new customer preselected.

Your new equipment record will be accessible throughout the application and appear under your Equipment List on the Equipment page. If you are dealing with owner operators then do not forget to checkout our article on how to associate an Owner Operator to an Equipment record.
