Creating a Location

Locations (stops) are used within shipments to record pickups/deliveries and within dispatches (trips) as stops. Locations make it easy to keep track of notes and contacts. Pegasys automatically geocodes every location upon creation. You can create a location from the location page, top navigation bar or from a location dropdown.

From the location page
Click on Locations on the top navigation bar to get to the Location page.
Click on the Create button at the top right corner.
Fill in the Location form.
Click Create.

From the top navigation bar
Click the + button on the top navigation bar from anywhere within the application.
Fill in the Location form.
Click Create.

From a location dropdown
Location dropdowns appear throughout the application. For example, when you are adding a pickup/delivery to a shipment or a stop to a dispatch. You can quickly create locations on the fly without breaking your flow.
Type the name of a new location into the input box and press enter OR click Create Location. Alternatively, click the + button beside the location dropdown.
Fill in the Location form.
Click Create.
You will be returned to your form with the new location preselected.

Your new location will be accessible throughout the application and appear under your Location List on the Location page.
