# Editing a dispatch

Once a dispatch has been created then the details moving forward can be controlled by the entire form. You can add dispatch stops, shipments, bills, notes, attachments and modify your route plan. If you want to change the main details of the dispatch (Driver, Owner Operator, Carrier, Traier, Tractor) then follow the instructions below.

**From the dispatch page**
1. Open the dispatch record that you want to edit.
2. Click **Edit** along the top right.
3. Change the details that are required in the dispatch form.
4. Click **Save**.

**From the dispatch button**
The open button is very powerful for any record. You can access your record controls without leaving a page and keep yourself in the flow of your processes.

1. Click the **dropdown arrow** beside any shipment **Open** button.
2. Click **Edit** along the top right.
3. Change the details that are required in the dispatch form.
4. Click **Save**.
