# Dark Theme

# Dark Theme

Good news — Pegasys now has a **built-in dark theme**! There's no longer any need for a browser extension. Dark mode is baked right into the app, works cleanly across the Pegasys UI, and remembers your choice every time you log in.

Turning it on takes just a couple of clicks. Don't worry, it's very easy!

## Switching to dark mode

1. Look to the **top-right corner** of Pegasys and click the **Settings (⚙️ cog) menu**.
2. In the dropdown, click **Dark Mode**.

That's it — the app instantly switches to the dark theme.

## Switching back to light mode

1. Open the same **Settings (⚙️ cog) menu** in the top-right.
2. Click **Light Mode**.

The menu label flips between **Dark Mode** and **Light Mode** depending on which theme you're currently using, so the option you need is always the one shown.

## Good to know

* **Your preference sticks.** Once you pick a theme, Pegasys remembers it on this browser — it'll be waiting for you next time you log in.
* **Light is the default.** New users start in light mode and stay there until they choose dark.
* **It's per browser.** The setting is saved in your browser, so if you log in from a different computer or browser you can set your preference there too.
* **Some pages stay light.** A few areas — such as printable document views — always display in light mode for readability and printing, even when dark mode is on.
