Creating a Quote
Sometimes, you'll need to provide your customers a quote for the load that they're looking for you to move for them, it's simple to create and manage them from the Quote module.
Creating a Quote
To create a new quote, the first thing you'll want to do is navigate to the Quote module from the top navigation menu. Once here, you'll simply need to click the 'Create' button located in the opt right hand corner of list.
Next, you'll want to select the customer and fill in all the required fields that are marked with a red asterisk.
Sometimes when you're quoting your customer, you might not know all the pickup or delivery details so you have the ability to use the 'Free-Form' field to fill in as much or as little as they've provided you. If it's a location that you've used previously, you can select the 'Existing' button, and select from your locations list.
Once you've filled in the quote form, you can either 'Add Revenue' right away, or click the finish button and come back add revenue once you've determined what you can quote your customer.
Sending to your customer
To get that quote in your customers hands is really easy, you simply need to click the 'Transmit' button at the top of the Quote record.
This will provide your customer a link for them to accept the rate electronically, as well as a PDF attachment.
If accepted electronically, the status of the quote will change to 'Accepted' automatically. If your customer has simply viewed the quote and either responded via email or phone, you can manually accept the quote by clicking the 'Pending Acceptance' button in the quote record.
Alternatively, you could also simply click the 'Convert to Shipment' button and it will complete the quote and create a new shipment record using all the details that you've already filled in on the quote.
